The apparel team is larger than 10 people
There were layoffs in feb and about 60-80 people were left in apparel after that round of layoffs
Someone said design is gone but that is about 4 people
How many people actually work in the sf office today?

"Ironically, apparel is making the majority of the current sales for the company and they have now cut the few things that were working so expect those sales to disappear."

Eddie wants to sell large appliances, tools and furniture. That too, will fail. Look at the screw-ups with delivery and tech support. The only thing Eddie could run is companies into the ground.

Vendors and suppliers should stay away from this man.

I can see why apparel has the most sales, most of the stores which aren’t downsized has most of its floor plan dedicated to sotflines, aka the “softer side of Sears” atleast for my local store, the softline ratio has decreased ever since the store downsized. It went from 70/65% softlines to a under 50% softlines. 1st floor is softlines while basement is hardlines for the downsized store. I often see clothes especially in non downsized stores have majority of the floor on clearance, its nuts seeing so much “2.97” pink tags.

There were so few layoffs in apparel because everyone had already been laid off. The team used to be over 120 people in and it’s now less than 10. Over 70% of the team were laid off in February.
Even if there is only 1 store, it requires design to generate a full, diverse product assortment so store count unfortunately does not affect design. This fact is lost on leadership.
There is still a large apparel buying team.

With the store count going down so much I am surprised that there were so few layoffs in apparel

A handful of people in SF - incl. All of women's apparel design (which was already only 4 handeling all brands), and one of the 2 remaining print designers (now there's just 1 for all of apparel). Also I believe some planners
