Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Will Wells Fargo know if I start a new job?

I'm thinking my days here are numbered for sure, there are some signification indications about it and I would like not to go into details about it...

Anyhow I already have a #gold #replacement job lined up.

I just don't want to leave before I know for sure if severance is or isn't an option. My question is, will Wells Fargo know if I start working just days after being laid off? Will that affect my severance - if I get one - in any way?

I had this same problem. I just explained to my new employer that I could start until the 61st day after my notice. The reason is that all of my restricted stock would vest on the 60th day and that was a lot of money. Fortunately me new employer worked with me and I started on the 61st day. Getting two paychecks is fantastic!

Why wait if it is truly a gold replacement? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Is it worth potentially losing the new position?

With the economy behaving the way it is, I personally would take the new job if it is as great as you say.

If this other job is gold then why wait?

You cannot accept or start another job during your 60 day notice period. If you do you will be considered to have quit and will not receive your severance.

You can start elsewhere the day after your 60 day notice period is over. If you start a new job on days 1-60, they don’t owe you anything.

Severance shouldn't stop if you get a job unless it is another job within Wells Fargo.
