Effective immediately all open and pending requisitions will be closed and no new hires for the remainder of the year unless extraordinary business needs can be justified. Supposedly due to the general and administrative expense not being effectively managed as evidenced by 60% of that expense going towards payroll. Health plans must manage their people resources more effectively and corporate is confident we have the right number of employees but they may not be in the right places to manage needs appropriately.
There are some health plans that are working with the bare minimum as it is and new lines of business are forth coming.
