Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

How many of you wished you never started working at this company?

I sure get that feeling these days.

You should be in it for the money.

Very happy to have been originally hired by EDS as the alternative would have led to instant boredom. Very happy to have been WFR'd from Clueless Steak Cutter as management was useless yet many mo–ns occupied leadership roles.
Very happy to gain a 40% pay rise in the real world with less hours, less stress and more engaging work.

Not me. I started as a contractor working 80 hour weeks making a ton of money. Then hired full time for less $$. But as I thought a permanent job with outsourcing company, thought o was safe.

Then ML happened and the company went to Sh-t

First 15 of 20 years at CSC were great, the rest c-ap... Retired before dxc came in and I am glad I am missing the carnage... Good luck to those there now. I can't name three from the CSC days now, long gone. Get out while you can

I've been with EDS/HP/HPE/DXC for over 25 years. I don't regret the decision. Yes, the current management is beyond disgusting - but nothing lasts forever and at some point Mikey will disappear from the equation. Hopefully before the complaint becomes worthless - but if not, I'll just find another job. The years of experience I have here will easily transfer to another company. I haven't left yet because I can work from my couch and enjoy the people I work with and our clients.

To be fair, my life at CSC has been OK right up to the point at which Mikey showed up.

I didn't choose that bit and its been downhill all the way since then.

Its not that others didn't do evil/r—ded things before Mikey, its just that its been turned up to 11 out of 10 since then.

So do I regret choosing to join CSC, looking back, probably not despite the current regime.

If I look back beyond CSC, all of the other companies I have worked for are either bust or taken over by others, so I doubt any of that would have been safer if I hadn't moved.

Nothing lasts forever.

The only company I ever joined was EDS, everything else since just happened, and a lot of it's been pretty dismal.

I had good years with EDS/Compaq/HP/HPE as a contractor ... so only been permie for 6 years. Like a lot of people just waiting to get accepted for VR/CR .... Getting £30k makes up for no payrises or bonuses. After this I'm off.

I wish UXC Eclipse had never been acquired by this horrid company. But Brad Stroop wanted to cash out, so here we are.
