Arrogant Mattel so despises MGA that it asks potential employees and vendors if they have ever worked for MGA, even freelance or temp work. If you say yes, Mattel simply will not hire you. Everyone knows this, so there's a simple workaround: just say no. There are numerous full-time Mattel employees who worked full-time for MGA, and Mattel is just clueless. In the past, there have been honest people who turned down jobs and vendor work at MGA for fear of being "tainted" and not hired by the juggernaut Mattel. So silly in retrospect that Mattel is falling apart now and the best talent has fled for greener pastures. With no good news in its near future and the current skeleton crew of real workers, Mattel isn't the "swell" place to work it once was, and no one gives a c-ap about its silly rules & limitations now that it has proved to be a sad, desperate, third class operation. Makes MGA look better daily, at least you can mostly figure out how they operate. What passes for insight, skill, strategy, innovation, creativity and motivation at Mattel is a complete mystery. Required reading for Mattel employees is the book "You Don't Own Me" about the MGA lawsuit. Lots of surprising dirt on Mattel and how it operates. LOL EVERYBODY hates MGA!
It's amusing to see MGA and company posting comments here anonymously trying to get reactions. You're not fooling anybody Larian. Mattel has a lot of exciting things in the pipeline and all you have is more Bratz rehashes to present. Your bid to buy Toys R Us was a bust and the stockholders at Mattel laughed in your face so now you're just whining. Are you bored??
Anyone employed by or looking to work at Mattel have to be desperate. Not a smart decision for your career to do either.
Why in the hell would you even want to work for Mattel? With their financial performance and inability to get out from u der the slavery and burden of Barbie. You’d be better off working for Anyone else.
How funny is it that MGA actively uses this site as an outreach / recruitment tool and yet as far as I know Mattel leadership has never openly acknowledged this sites existence even though clearly based on the views each post gets everyone at Mattel not only is aware of this site but many are active posters. Just another example of how Mattel is stuck in the past, if they were truly innovative, Mattel would have worked early on to establish this site as a sort of unofficial anonymous complaint box and have someone from HR fielding questions and grievances. Instead this site has been allowed to fester like an open wound which only helped to accelerate the already rapid decline in morale in recent years and leadership soldiers on like a bunch of monkeys covering their eyes, ears and mouths.
