Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Burnout is real

It's not even the work, people are so tired of all the other c-ap that's been going on. But does DXC management care? Nope. The more people leave on their own due to this, the better for them.

We already have high turnover and it's getting worse by the day. And instead of trying to prevent it, they just open the door and wave goodbye. Not a good long-term strategy, in my opinion.

I moved to Australia with CSC in 2012 and the company was great. Since then the finance team shrank from 45 members onshore to a grand total of 6 even after all the mergers, that workload is not sustainable and there is another SEC investigation required I think!
In the last few years I have seen 1 colleague die at his desk, 2 have heart attacks, 1 stroke and numerous others suffer severe mental health trauma.
I got out 2 years ago and although still unemployed I still think it was the best decision of my life, I probably wouldn't have gotten out alive otherwise.
Do they care? Do they b*llocks.
They will continue until Mike runs out of smoke and mirrors and companies to acquire to fill the revenue holes. They ML and PS will go off in the sunset having made their millions and not give a sh*t about the carnage they left in their wake. Hey, that's business right.

No Travel.
No Training.
No Raises.
No Pension Plan.
No Company Cell Phones (Yes they used to).
401K Matched Yearly Not Per Paycheck.
Cheap Benefit’s.

Only one "manager" is allowed to care and he doesn't give a f**k because its his plan.

The others are not allowed to care even if they wanted - and some do.

My own manager was almost reduced to a nervous breakdown at having to axe people in her team. Genuinely that ripped her up but she wasn't allowed to refuse.

Try not to see everything and everyone at DXC as broken and uncaring - there are still decent people around - less every day I'll give you, but they do exist.
