I think companies are trying to force it. They want to keep profits up, even at peoples’ expense, so their idea is to create this situation and see how much they can truly get away with.
Let’s not forget within the last century we still had children working in the mines and there was no such thing as a “weekend” or time off (as much). These things had to be created.
It truly is unfortunate that companies of average care far more for profit than formthe people. I’ve always been someone who cared. It is a sad state of affairs.
