Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Did any of the laid off people from UP find a new job at another railroad company?

I’m sure some people managed to get new jobs in the business. I created this thread to get some experiences and get a closer view on how the job market in our business looks right now.

I went over to oil & gas. No unions, higher salaries, and plenty of paid time off. There's also one manager for every thirty workers, where UP will have three managers for every five workers, sometimes even more. If UP cared at all about efficiency they would trim management from the top down.

X-OMT.

Retirement?!?! Hell 14 years of service and wondering if I’ll make it 15. These greedy asshats are ruining the job I used to love.

No nobody did. UP is the only job. I’ve been living under a bridge and eating from a garbage can, but I still wear my UP polo because I’m a member of the UP family.
