i have been surplussed from At&t in chicago with 19 yrs of service, 16 in repair and 3 yrs as a linemen. i am asking for advise, i have a job offer from adcomm doing installs and repair for 25$ a hour. can i ask you guys if i should take it? i would relocate to florida, good or a bad move? i know century is not hiring and surplussing also. thank you in advance

I was a contractor for 5 years and they treat you really bad. I did not work for Adcomm but several companies and everyone promised the world and delivered a ham sandwich at most. I spent most money on hotels and tools. I’m is a Gypsy lifestyle when I did it 96 to 2001

25 is really low for a phone company contractor, that's more like cable tv contractor money, and the cost of living in FLA is extremely high compared to the rest of the nation.
You’d have no seniority and the first one to be surplussed. CTL is a company that is shrinking in head count not growing. Hope that helps
