“We’re so excited that Barnes & Noble was named the #1 Most Reputable Retailer in America by Reputation Institute for the second year in a row! Thanks to our 23,000+ booksellers for making it happen.”
SERIOUSLY?!
Has anyone read these posts?

Reliable?
Like the Book Haul ?
Promise thousands of titles & theres 2 small tables on the sales floor ?
Promise a free tote bag and on the first day, they’re all gone?
How much does it cost to purchase the title of most reliable?
The company was acquired by Elliot, owner of Waterstones Book Stores in the UK. I see a change in the wind says I.
Ex-BN employees can't get jobs because the Barnes & Noble name if a curse. No one will hire anyone with B&N on their resume.
And trying to get decent people to work at B&N is impossible. Word is out how bad of a company it is!
It is voted reputable by customer’s perception of the brand , not the company and its employee policies.
They have never made any best place to work... never !
Nobody,Especially those who still work there, believe they’re the most reputable company. We’ve seen the underhanded things that go on. There’s even a class action suit over manipulating the stock, that the stockholders feel was altered to fast track the sale. Reputable? Look the word up. In a book.
Reputable?!
Don’t make me laugh.
Treated long time employees like trash.
Customer service is nearly non existent.
Pushes memberships on customers and most don’t know they’ll be be charged again. Then the customer will be belittled by being told “ didn’t you read the fine print !”
Reputable?!
What a joke !
Had a big laugh at this, at work today !
When the people who work here know it’s bogus, no amount of “publicity “ to get customers to believe we’re something we’re not is going to work !
