I’d say they’re pretty smart and learned from the mistakes from previous generations. Think of all the boomer managers you know that dedicated their lives to UP only to get tossed away like a piece of trash before they could make it to retirement. All that for nothing. Stressed yourself out so Vena could have an extra yacht.

Have a phone. Have a laptop. Can go online. Check that they have no money in the bank.

I'd say its pretty even across the board, or at least it was. Couple complaining new hires are furloughed now. So that problem is solved. Then some 6 to 8 year guys that will admit to doing the least as possible, but 1 more cut and there gone. Then you got the "I put my time in" douche bags. The super senority guys are feeling it now....... no more hearing how it wont affect them anymore.

The most whining I hear is from the 15 thru 25 year guys they almost had that weekend job and bam Wednesday Thursday. Older then that they are close enough to retirement it doesn't matter. Younger and they know it's just a matter of time.

All generations have their fair share of lazy id–ts. Nothing new. Non topic.

I am an agreement employee right at the older end of millennial years. I can say after having transferred throughout different departments through the years that it just depends on which department you are in and the local management. Some s— and some are good. A position may be good and swaps managers and becomes bad (and vice versa).

Old generation have old school ways of thinking and cant adapt to changes and technology and are mostly racist. New generation are too sensitive about everything but at least they care about the future of next generation while old head try to mess everything up because of greed, power and ignorance.

Voted most likely to sit in hiring session and be clearly warned about working weekends, holidays, odd shifts with varying days off, and bumps, then subsequently complain about those things once hired. Welcome to the railroad!

Not trying to start a generational confrontation, just curious at other people's opinions.
