Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

For Sale

All signs point to a sale late this year or early next. Not since InBev sold parks have things been this tightly run. Finance leadership confirmed that a sale is most likely imminent due to making the company look more profitable than it is. Hopefully new company will be good to us!

Almost all Corp marketing are consultants now, from two different firms. There are only 6 employees left. 5 years ago there were 40.

I heard a rumor that contractors are coming in to “help” Corp staff for projects. But no one know what projects these are.

It will never be about the animals if they get sold. It is not profitable to keep fighting activist or environmentalists. Sea World as we new it is dead. They will try to become a ride park but will never be able to keep up with Disney or Universal. San Diego will build a Hotel or something there. It's insane to try and hang onto a job from a company that doesn't want you.
