Accrued Vacation

Anyone know if you leave voluntarily, if you get paid out for your accrued vacation for the following year?

Non Agreement, NE, yes you do. However you may have to remind them to pay you if it is more than 30 days past your leave day.

Agreement Employee is 100 working days, so if you quit, you will get your check the next pay period.

I was cut a check for my unused vacation on the next monthly pay period after I left (non-agreement).

For nonagreement, you earn 1/12 of your vacation for next year for every completed month you work this year. So yes you will get paid out what you have earned thus far. For agreement, it’s different rules on how long you must work this year to get your accrued vacation for next year. Consult with your local chairman to find out the rules for your craft.

Retiring might be differant then quitting also. I personally think you should but they dont care what I think. Especially when it comes to defects

I don’t know about leaving voluntary before u have 10 yrs but I retired early in 2014 with 14 yrs ( I had 25 yrs military retired) and I was surprised I got a deposit of about 2, 400$ after taxes . I retired in June 2014 but check with HR. I think it was for 2015 3 weeks of vacation but I could be wrong that’s 5 yrs ago. ( oh I was non union ) good luck 👍 I debated strongly about not lving uncle Pete but so glad I did .
