What's wrong with the C levels still promoting Dragonfly? 40 mill and 3 or 4 years flushed down the can with that dog Sigma. Wasting money, burning people out with this over hyped initiative started by the previous CIO, and his transformation VP. How do we ever break even on this money pit?

The dead Dragonflies squashed on my windshield have more value than Windstream's half baked Dragonfly project. First time I heard of it and investigated the guts of it I knew it would never work. Either brain dead mo–ns or crooks running Windstream into the ground.
For those asking "What is dragonfly?"

Not sure what's worse, the bad business decisions, the bad technical decisions or the bad fashion decisions.
The poster that stated "We really depend on you all as does the rest of our community."
Then get off your butt and call up Windstream HQ and demand to talk to TT. Tell him to quit screwing over all the employees who have not had a raise for years if you really care about your services.
While I can sympathize with your captivity (remember Windstream is not a jail) I doubt you would appreciate going for years without a raise (AKA any inflation adjustments) and watching the value of your paycheck decline continuously. God knows the employees have tried and tried. It will be quite sometime before the rank and file give a damn due to the endless greed of the Execs.
I honestly hope the worst for the 'Leadership and BoD' since they lack any morality, empathy or compassion for the workers at Windstream.
It's one of many internal highy praised half baked projects that never went anywhere. Like alot of these projects the original intention is good, but some needle d!ck MBA POS decides it would be advantageous for them to figure head the project to climb a ladder that doesn't exist. They run the project in to the ground bail on it then eventually it disappears, and of course no punishment or recourse for them. Windstream is full of these types of people in management. The worst type of loosers, fools, and other Telco company washups / flunkies.
ILEC Customer: internal quoting tool that was supposed to be the next big thing for employees. It's gone now. Doesn't directly have to do with customers.
I work for a more or less captive business customer trying to figure out what’s going on at Windstream. I want to know what we’ll have when you all emerge from chapter 11.
We really depend on you all as does the rest of our community.
I was one of the people who asked about Dragonfly. I don’t have access to all the propaganda you guys get. Not sure that’s a big loss based on what people here say, but I am interested in what Dragonfly is; it sounds both important and screwed up.
So what is it?
Thanks
We used the bankruptcy to cancel our contract with sigma and they are going back to PAO. Meanwhile the VP of Transformation was moved to marketing.
Dragonfly... monthly all hands calls always covered this project. I guess the people who don't what this project is about are the same ones who probably don't know Windstream is in bankruptcy. Also probably believes Windstream is a growth company too!
Really? How can the folks on this thread follow this site so diligently, but have no clue what Dragonfly is? Three years of town halls, monthly all hands calls and oodles of Stream posts and still you have never heard of this?
Dragon Fly???
To repeat someone else’s question, what’s Dragonfly?
DragonFly was a moving target that zigged when it should have zagged. Leadership was never clear on what this project was supposed to accomplish and latest updates indicate that it will be useless and obsolete long before it completes.
Sigma, like all consulting firms, doesn’t exist to provide solutions. They only exist to bleed companies for as long as possible and then move on to the next. CIOs that give them contracts often are then given cushy jobs with them in return.
That “transformation VP” was a complete fraud. My 90 year old grandmother has more IT experience.
WS doesn’t break even on anything. It’s all over for them at this point. Even if the lease holds up they are still done.
Sorry for asking the question.
