Thread regarding Riverbed Technology Inc. layoffs

Any ideas on worldwide total?

How many people were impacted in the past several days, worldwide? Considering how many markets were hit, I'm guessing the number is anything but small.

Short of an official statement (which I highly doubt is coming,) is there any way to figure out just how many people were cut?

@105TqfVp-fppi nope, one month's salary for every one year capped at 6 months worth of salary, plus 2 months warn. So max total is 8 months worth of salary.

32-34% of Global workforce in total. All of APJ apart from Australia. In EMEA closing half of countries (leaving only UK, France, Germany and Benelux) but with heavy cuts in those countries. US being hit badly too.

I heard around 350 people. All of apj except Australia . Some countries in Europe . All the Channel SEs in the US. VP of Channel in the US and some CSM. Not sure how business will still function on the limited resources.

It’s amazing that Montford is still there since he took over it has tanked. He must be really good at the blame game when he meets with TB

My friends & colleagues, last quarter's results were further confirmation that Climate Change is real. Customers are demanding more sustainable software services. With that in mind, we have accelerated the process of consolidating offices worldwide and sunsetting certain appliance based solutions. This will further reduce our overall carbon footprint and keep us on the path for sustainable growth. I want to emphasize that we don't make these decisions lightly and that we make every effort to treat colleagues impacted with dignity and respect. Looking forward, it is now time to ReThink what is Possible. I remain as excited as ever about the fantastic work we are doing to enhance the Human Experience.
