The company just announced they are not renewing the building lease.... affected workers will have 3 options based on their particular work responsibilities and job titles. 1)Work from home if approved. 2) Relocation to another core CenturyLink site if applicable. 3) Exit the business with severance package. Ultimately your functional leadership will decide the option that is appropriate for your role and decisions are on these options will be based on a combination of business needs and individual circumstances. 11 months until the lease is up, the company didn’t say how many employees this effects. 🙄

"Definitely not a necessary location. Hopefully, it saves money. Why they re-newed their agreement to keep HQ in Monroe through 2025 is beyond me. The sale of that location could also trim the fat. "
They had an agreement to bring jobs to Monroe with the Government, I am pretty sure it is tied to that somehow, Also I rarely see force reductions there listed.

- they didn’t need a third in Kansas where they are not the ILEC. Well, Monroe isn't CTL territory either, so it just makes sense to eliminate that one before long too.
Sorry to hear, great building, great people. This was bound to happen though with headquarters in Monroe staying, and secondary in Denver, they didn’t need a third in Kansas where they are not the ILEC. Sales does not need much space. Many of the employees are left over legacy Embarq systems people who moved over to Centurytel systems, which is somewhat redundant with other areas. Still sad.
Nice little culling they are going to do, say they need a sale presence in the area but are going to give the option of work from home or relocate to specific titles and requiring manager approval. The rest given a severance package or whatever.
So really what they are saying. They have places to put them, what I read is they have a ton of space not used, the final date is going to be in June 2020 but you know that the options will commence way before then, like right before March coincidentally I would bet.
Oh and as far as paying the lease, I guess that was the first major complex to go so they can build the 18 million dollar one in Miami.
They're not all going to get a another job. CLINK COULD GIVE A F— THO
That s—s! I had some good times at the big ol' badazz compound... kind of like this one time at band camp. Some good steaks across the street!
Last i personally knew there we about 800-900 employees at the new century offices
How many employees at this site?
Sorry to hear, best of luck to all.
