Is Voluntary Redundancy still available after declining

Recently I declined my offer but I’m starting to regret it. I really cannot see how we are going to deliver in the future. Does anyone know if it will be accepted if I ask again now, given that people are at risk of CR.

If you rejected VR then that's it until next time and possibly next time it will be CR - don't discount this company sacking people for trump up reasons to bypass any redundancy pay.

Leave if you get the chance, you won't be sorry, I certainly wasn't.

DXC is not the only lily pad on the lake . You get a chance to leave - you leave . The shoreline is the destination - not the bottom of the lake .

One would be insane to reject a WFR or CR, as Mikey does not want to miss out on his commissions. As a result some other willing muggins will be made redundant.

Do not say no to a CR or WFR.

I personally know people who were in "self selecting" CR pools being offered VR as a way out of CR...

Possibly to avoid the company having to report CR numbers...

Possibly for other reasons that are less legal...

I have known late VR’s to be considered, providing none of the CR’ have been told, otherwise what is to stop someone who knows they have been chosen for CR suddenly ask for VR and get an extra month’s salary?

An extra VR in a pool can ‘save’ a CR in the same pool, as it’s about hitting the percentage.
Reduction for that group, I have seen where CR staff were kept on due to a late VR even AFTER being told they were ‘at risk’. How do you know which person in the pool is ‘saved’ as a result of someone else’s VR? Because they are the highest scoring person against the criteria for CR selection in the pool.

In the case I recall, the person who was ‘saved’ felt very uneasy of their position after that knowing that they were on the cusp of selection and so made sure they applied for VR on the next round of cuts which isn’t usually that far apart in DXC.

The thought of being kept on to stay longer in that place (like failing at the parole board) sounds much more frightening to me.

If its any consolation, you volunteering won't save someone else from getting CR'ed.

The CR people are getting CR'ed regardless.
