Did any of us who were paying attention really think this 3-ring circus was going to last?
Yes kids, it's a fire sale and apparently unannounced Prime Day deal, all-in-one!
IF you order before...oh, about end of this year...you can get a newly minted EUE/APM entity for the low, low price of somewhere between $3B to $4B.
ACVs take on whole NEW meanings when deciding that price, sports fans!
And, if that sale price exceeds the Thoma Brava money pit exercise, well fabulous. Anything gained from sell the remnants left behind will assuage the pain of NOT hitting the big time IPO.
But don't forget the Golden Parachute Club! No sirree, those cats will roll around naked in the money regardless!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, little Billy and Betty are on the street with no shoes on their feet.
Yay, big business.
just an fyi - they are keeping almost all incompetent management and upper level management that got hired over years. grunts are being sacked. yeah, sale, we'll see.
The entire Austin Sales office just got wiped out! Closing the doors and shutting off the lights.
How many people have been laid off so far?
Yep, makes perfect sense. Split the company into two completely separated units with their own Engineering, marketing, and sales and make cuts so they are more appealing. And keep the things new owners won't need such as IT, HR and finances separate from the independent units.
It makes perfect sense if you're trying to sell-off units. The first new unit PM mentioned will be easier to sell than the whole company and will most likely turn a profit for TB. Layoffs cut the company's operating costs and make it make the various pieces look more affordable/attractive to potential buyers.
Hard to believe they are trying to split the company in two and also cut back on staff. That doesn't really add up, does it?
What region are you from?
