Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

So much greed continues Windstream's demise

No raises for years for the salaried folks while Execs gorge off the dying carcass that they created. Board of Directors play along to keep their gravy train rolling.
The Grungy brothers cannot figure out how to look like they are solving the UNIT / Windstream MLA and still reap more ill gotten gains.
Windstream legal states that this glaring conflict of interest has been previously disclosed and thus is of no concern as a defense of the situation.
SEC should be investigating how many executives at Windstream own UNIT stock - perhaps they should review the internal ethics training course again.
Then you have this constant hiring of leadership friends bringing them in at Director level or above. Again while thousands have not seen a raise to adjust for inflation for many years now.
Forced exits from locations are in full swing and redeploying broken obsolete equipment as "solutions" is now the norm.
And then you have Senators Chuck Schumer's finger prints all over this fiasco with his tacit approval of management's decisions and tactics as long as the donations keep coming into his coffers. So much for supporting the working folks.

Those at the top usually will always be the greedy psychopaths. This personality is the type that seeks for power and control. Money is not so much the reason for the greed it is merely a tool for them to wield their need for power and control over others.

You can’t throw a rock without hitting some company rife with greed or scandal at the top.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

“Is the SEC investigating the corrupt actions of the Gunderman's, Thomas and the Board?”

I’m not sure they’d announce it if they did.

I think a more promising path is a shareholder lawsuit.

I do not see anything positive coming from staying at Windstream. Good luck to the others being left behind as leadership sinks morale ever lower.

I know, I know - the project has a drop dead date and we must meet these timelines or customer circuits will be dropped.
I am prepared to work very hard on these critical initiatives but I am still waiting for that Incentive Bonus to inspire me to do my job. What is good for executives is good for everyone. Fair is fair. Do the right thing......etc
But like questions regarding raises and the standard answer to those that have gone so long without................"It is beyond my control".
So deal with the consequences because it is out of my hands as well! Very much ready to be laid off !!

The bit about WIndstream Legal department proclaiming on Stream and in the courts that 'Windstream already disclosed this conflict of interest previously and at this time is of no relevancy' is 100% true.
Also, pulling in Chuck Schumer's participation in the fraudulent actions perpetrated by Windstream management may be a way to get more visibility to this case and the plight of the employees that have taken so much abuse from 'Leadership' and the BoD.
Rarely is anything done anymore in corporate America because it is the right thing to do especially at Windstream. Force the roaches out into the light so they have to scurry

I don't trust Chuck Schumer anymore than I do TT

Chuck just said ANY downsizing would not be related to office consolidation or chapter 11. That doesn't mean that TT isn't looking to eliminate positions. I'm sure they are just buying time before they eliminate more employees. The chapter 11 isn't going to be completed for 3 to 6 months depending on which timeline you look at. The whole UNITI thing could screw that up even more.

All Chuck Schumer addressed was jobs in Rochester, not WIN leadership or the companies operating strategy? Not sure where this is coming from. https://13wham.com/news/local/windstream-ceo-says-local-jobs-wont-be-affected-by-bankruptcy-filing-schumer

How do you know about the SEC investigation, is there an article somewhere? I'd be interested to see it

PRO TIP: the SEC is investigating both the board the executive team for
the reasons that you stated.
UNIT dropped by 10% at the opening bell this morning. Wall street smells
blood in the water. On a previous thread someone had mentioned that our
"Consultants" only want us to stay in the wireline business where it makes sense.
If we cannot deliver you gig speeds then end those contracts. Copper is
dead and doesn't make sense. in most markets outside of rural america.
