I heard from a former accociate that got laid off, took a severance and now got rehired in the same position all within a year? Does this sound right?

The lead story is a complete b—s— fabrication.
I know many pepole who took the package and got hired back .
It's been a bit but happened to me got vspp and contractor pay at the same time.
We had engineers took VSPP and had letters from RJE at home their last day, offering them the same job as soon as six months was up.
One in his 50s came right back, Sam job, same desk, more money. One in his 60s told them pack sand, because he didn't think it was right they didn't offer a kid with 3 years his job back.
Yes, it happens. BUT why would anyone come back to this c-aphole unless out of sheer desperation?
What title is it ?
"Which state did this happen with coming back after taking vspp? "
I am not saying due to not knowing your access and position, with right access and position you could look them up and cause harm. Sorry looking out for them and our privacy. The problem with anonymous. You really don't know who your talking too.
Which state did this happen with coming back after taking vspp?
Not true, have known many that took VSPP and after 6 months came back.
In fact I know one person that took it and was accepted got the pay and they brought them back in 30 days because they let too many go and had no coverage. He also got to dictate where he reported and where he roved to and kept the money and time accrued.
Yes he made out on their short sightedness. This person had 40 years also.
Really it depends on THEIR needs, they can make anything happen if they want it too bad enough.
In Ca and in sales...
Yes you can get rehired after 6 months of getting laid-off, in that 6 month wait you cannot work on any Centurylink property,If you take a VSP no rehire
What state and position?
If the employee got laid off yes they can come back but not if they took the VSSP.
