The Sears in the Exton mall began its closing liquidation today. With the mall already missing one anchor slot after JC Penney closed several years ago (though one floor of the two was occupied by a Round 1 arcade) and practically half of the mall's other space being vacant, the loss of another anchor could cement it's death spiral. Rumor has it, however, that the REIT that owns the mall has intended this for some time, pricing out far too many tenants for the mall to remain viable.

exton sears closing
A rumor I heard is that a large section of the mall and I guess sears is being torn down to make a retirement community.
I work for Lands'End inside Sears. I will lose my job as well.
@1qu - Apparently you must care a great deal about the closing since you took the time to visit this site, read this particular post, and then made the effort to submit a comment of your own!
