Grand Opening! Not a single customer or member to be seen in any of the PR or online photos, just a handful of associates grinning and thinking to themselves "oh god I hope we still have jobs in six months". At least the Oakbrook Center Sears had a crowd.

Did I read someone backing up Lacey? Wow. He’s the one that sold us out to Eddie! He didn’t know how to turn around Sears either and wastes a lot of money on foolish ventures like Sears Grand!
@2zto But how much did they buy? What are the sales numbers?
@ZerZ62y-2zto https://media.graytvinc.com/images/810*455/Sears+home.jpg Doesn't look that packed to me.
The anchorage store was packed. Google anchorage local news
@ZerZ62y-2yff Very true, everyone loves a crowd and are curious by nature. After the fanfare dies down I feel it will be empty. They've tried the whole smaller store system before and it failed. It won't work again.
Lots of pictures of customers but are they buying? All stores get lots of customers at first because of the grand opening. Give them a month or two and then evaluate them.

Google Sears Home Life grand opening. Lots of pics of all 3 stores. Articles by local papers. Lots of customers. So stop spreading the B.S.
Plant? Lay off the coca your paranoia is showing
@ZerZ62y-1yka Obvious plant is obvious.
I heard the La. store was packed. They also carry all kinds of smart home products, Samsung, ring, etc why all the hate?
Doesn't make sense to me either. These are once every ten years types of purchases. Best Buy, Home Depot & Lowe's carry other items and equipment that you need more frequently so appliance sales are only part of the overall picture.
Additionally, Sears has a terrible rep now for service and delivery so why would you but from them? No offense intended to any HA people in here. It's not your fault. In fact some of the long timers are a wealth of information.
How many people buy mattresses & appliances every year? I do not understand where they think this new concept is going to take the company except to run it in to bankruptcy again.
It's reality. As Lacey said in his interview "people rarely buy from those departments."
And you expected to see customers?
In one of the pictures I thought I saw an associate assisting a member, however, the interaction was only a photo that was part of a store display.
