The already cutting jobs for Rsi video technologies in France.

It was not only RSI, but all global EMEA position not realte to US person.
Connect your Brain guys.
Can you imagine a second that the european market is different than the USA market ?
You compare motion viewer resolution, great. But dont forget that our product are wire free. If we cut the power network, our camera still work. We are able To trig a video on an alarm. Its permit To confirm it is a real alarm.
But your motion viewer, wired, who need wifi (hudge power supply consumption), is helpfull To confirm that dad play with the babysittor no think more. ; -)
Also if we keep information, explain me why all our schematic, 3d files, code source ... Are accessible by all resideo team ? Why we need To ask 100 times To have the same information on the current plateform or old plateform ?
On french we have an expression "c'est l'hôpital qui se moque de la charité" it means "it is the person with the bigger default who laugh of the smaller".
We are arrogant yes ? but you also.
Maybe Honeywell/Resideo had never been in capacity to understand this technology and this market... (even the all security market)
Maybe Honeywell/Resideo had never understood the difference between turnover and margin.
Maybe Honeywell/Resideo had never been smart enough to understand that it’s beter to sell less volumes at 45% margin (Videofied) instead of selling mass by loosing money each time they deliver a product (like with ADT)
Maybe Honeywell/Resideo had never been good enough on its project management and product management to be able to understand that it’s beter to finish a project and to sell it to customer that is expecting it instead of following RSI way of doing by finishing all projects and selling them in mass with huge margin because the product fits to customers needs...
It’s just thoughts...
It’s not a question of viva France or America... just a question of business.
Yep - there was a reason RR turned down the buyout offer 3 times. Unfortunately, once he was pushed out, the id–ts came in and bought them.
Honeywell should never have bought them. They had a good niche product for a very specific market. The technology was never going to support the US market. But we bought them and then F*&ked them. Sorry guys.
Not Viva France or Viva America. Jai Hind!
@1uih
Agree:
Impossible to work with.
Expected massive volume orders in the age of JIT.
Couldn't get anywhere near to their stated lead times.
Arrogant attitude.
Living in the past.
As with ADI, HON screwed up on the acquisition.

I say screw the RSI guys. They were impossible to work with. Hiding information and acting like they were still an independant company. Plus the motion viewers s—ed. Who wants a QVGA clip at 7fps when arlo is already delivering 720p@30fps in a competing product.
To Post ID: @ZZ9RqLf-nnt :
Yes the product line "videofied" make a lot of money!
Oh sh.t, it is products developped, manufactured and saled by RSI.
But don't be worry, we going to plane the knowledge transfer after the extinction of the R&D!! Oo
Viva America
After employees in France refused to comply with Honeywell’s furloughs a couple years I thought the direction was to never hire anyone in France ever again. Viva La France!
Are ANY EMEA products making money? There's less people buying our c-ap in Europe than in the US.....
LOL
