Our entire team has been told this week that we will be merged into another business line (S4/HANA), because our job positions will cease to exist in our location. This was 2 months after HR, our board member and Bill told that the reorganizations are over for now. No severance package if we don't accept.
A completely new team in Bangalore is being built up instead.
That's interesting. Has anyone told the SAP customers that they will need to completely re-implement their systems for S4-HANA and in the process drop all the functionality that they so painstakingly built after it was missing in the first place? Me thinks S4-HANA might be ERP-to-far for SAP customers.
So Bangalore employees cost less and are more efficient, or just cost less. Doesn't SAP get tax rebates for employing persons in specific countries - do they then have to pay these rebates back when they use off-shore locations? Just wondering.
not sure about the rest, but one is my fellow AEs got laid off in Singapore. He is relatively junior and has been taking instructions from the sales manager. But when we lost a couple of deals, all the fault was pinned on him. Sales manager, she is still there.
Which location is this layoff ?

The news coming out from Singapore is that there will be another round of layoffs in June. Apparently the C4C team is next in line. Hang in there!
You have take what SAP / Bill say with skepticism. Take the 100k headcount by year-end as an example. SAP already had 103k in Jan 2019 when Bill first made the announcement that sap will have 100k at the end of 2019.

Of the Company Codes from official integration until q1 2019. Giving SAP 100 now (104 -4). There is nearly zero external hiring taking place in 2019.

There will always be org realignments in companies the size of SAP. You may likely be hit by some fall-out from the restructuring started in Q1.
The grapevine has it that there will be org changes in July but its unclear whether this goes back to the earlier restructuring or whether this is new.
