How has being laid off affected your position on buying and recommending Ford to other people?
I really want to tell everybody to stay away, but then I remember all of my friends who still work here and I just decide to keep quite.
How are other folks handling this?
Thank you @ Z3sYHEZ-1gmh. Sorry to hear you have an abusive manager and that HR is not resolving the issue. I keep hoping HR and management will align with the Ford Truths. Speaking up only works when the LL chain holds their team accountable. We can only hope your manager gets redesigned. Fingers crossed.
@ Z3sYHEZ-1jbz I am so very sorry for the abuse your spouse endured as an employee and a whistle blower. I work for a manager that consistently berates us, yells and screams at us, gets right in my face and shakes his finger at me, etc. Many times all of this is in front of other managers. It has been witnessed, it has been reported, he is still here. I am sick every day coming to this place but nothing ever gets done. HR views me as a pita, they have zero compassion, and they do an awful lot of finger pointing. You are right, there are a lot of good people and there are a lot of bad people.
That ship sailed many years ago for our family when Ford HR and LL5 supported and defended a serial abuser LL6 and then proceeded to portray the victim, my spouse, as the aggressor and the problem. Spouse left the company as the blowback for reporting the LL6 was severe. The abuser is still doing his thing at Fords, leaving a trail of victims in his wake.
There are many good people at Fords, I work with many of them. There some very bad actors at Fords also, unfortunately in positions of power and supported by HR. Had HR and LL5 dealt with the abuser, we would of been Fords advocates for life. That was not what happened. The LL5 has since been promoted, the LL6 remains a LL6. Actions trump words.

Ford supported me for 12 years. If I am let go definitely my next vehicle is another Ford. The inherent quality is not lost and I love driving Ford.
I am not sure what I will do if I get let go. I’m thinking about buying from another company. I’m not sure how I could continue to support a company that doesn’t support me.
Its out of my hands prior to the layoffs. The extended family have been challenged with the limited vehicle portfolio. They have been moving to other brands for vehicle selection. Not every family member is looking for a F150 or loaded SUV.
It's okay to be angry, but try directing it into something that puts you in a positive place.
