Why can’t we get a pay raise? It’s been years without an actual raise. I’m tired of “big banks” being demonized by 2020 potus contenders. Who’s going to manage all their money? I’m so tired of making ends meet with a top college degree excellent skills and amazing productivity I’m a huge asset to my team but never any money goes my way. I’m sick of politicians either party they’re all corrupt all they want is their own power they don’t care about any one of us. They’re all self serving. We need the people’s party not gop not dem but us the people. Enough with “Justice Democrat’s” and AOC dumb as a rock. They’re all corrupt they’re all bought and paid for. I’m so tired of being screwed by both parties

Agree with the previous post. As a manager, I lobbied hard for my good people to get a raise - which they did. I, on the other hand, got the shaft. Again. zero raise in 6 years. How dumb am I?

As an old timer of 25 years who was discarded after I trained my H1-B replacement.
I can tell you I worked during a time where for 2 years my coworkers and I did not get a raise or a bonus.
Instead Mgmt gave us the standard pep top, " Be grateful you still have a job.
I'll bet that most of the people on here think LYFT was a great IPO. So many stupid people working in financial industry.

Personally, I did not get a raise. We were told if you got a raise last year (which I did), you would not get one this year. My bonus was 40% of what I got last year.
We are not replacing workers if they leave. In some instances, we can only replace with "low cost" workers in Poland or India.
There is no room to grow or get promoted on GTS, so I plan to leave. I'm applying outside SST.
I got a raise. It think it depended upon what department you are in.
It's a large company so I'm sure we have nuts. They could also be Russian trolls.

For context last year was Hooley’s final as State Street (NYSE: STT) CEO, part of a planned transition to O’Hanley. Hooley, who is staying as chairman through 2019, made $16.1 million in 2018, according to the proxy statement, which was filed late Friday. That’s down from $19.5 million in 2017.
O’Hanley, now the CEO, was State Street’s president and chief operating officer last year. His total compensation was $8.3 million, compared with $10.2 million the year prior.
Based on some comments here it worries me that there could be nut jobs and conspiracy theorists sitting beside me or i meet in the elevators. Do you guys even work at State Street?

Finally someone tells the truth. America is no longer the best country on earth. Our infrastructure is crumbling, we have massive debts and our social programs are almost bankrupt. State street is simply reacting to this reality with all its layoffs, offshoring of jobs and non-existant pay raises for its workers.
Sure---the executive management has for years enriched themselves at the expense of the worker but hey...wouldn't you do the same if you were them.
In case you haven’t noticed, America is done. Don’t expect anything more. In fact, it’s only going to get worse.
By them not giving you a raise they’re effectively calling your bluff. If you’re as good as you say and not getting paid you should get a job somewhere you’re recognized. Trust me there was money to hand out and if they feared you leaving you would have been prioritized for reward.
