Restructuring next week. In a few days. Let’s post everything we know to keep us all in the loop. It’s looking like all store hourly associates will be part time.

The Kmart I worked at closed in April 2018. My job now, I am happier, and making more money than at anytime in my 30 Kmart career. I also have benefits. I would get out while you can if possible.

With any luck, the company will cut district management. I mean, why do we need 3 district people per market? There is no need to have that many. I mean, the market leader doesn't even need to leave his office exact for visiting each store he is responsible for maybe once every six months. It is 2019. Facetime exists. Use it. How many part time minimum wage associates.could we pay for 10 hours a week if we cut back to 1 district manager and quit paying for company cars and mileage?

@YT3Be83-1wne if I were brought down to 15 an hour I would quit, immediately. You see the sad thing is, that in the new agreement that's just what is going to happen. Nobody can protest it either, because you agreed to waive legal action after pay is reduced when that expiration date is up. If you don't like it quit, is the assumption attitude of new sears. That's what I see happening, and soon. Eddie's strategic method of saving money and not having to announce massive layoffs.

@YT3Be83-mtv. Better yet, Like Amazon, Sears could announce that all associates will be paid $15.00/hour. They cut all of the full time associates to part time, get rid of the benefits and eliminate all of the part-time associates.. payroll stays the same and Eddie is praised for paying his employees a livable wage... brilliant!!

If they do make hourly full timers part timers then all part timers should change their availability so they can write their own schedules. Make Sears accomodate you, don't you accomodate Sears.

It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to get rid of full timers so they wouldn't have to pay benefits.

Man, if they try to cut old crazy military vets from their health benefits, I don't want to show up to work that day.

Full time associates and assistant managers have been discussed for a long time now. The time is here and trolls or not, it is confirmed to be happening. Within the next week a major shakeup is coming. Believe it or not it will be happening and the stores will fail without full time positions. This is the plan I guess, fail.
