Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

I made a mistake

A co worker just told me about this site. I started a new job here at Juniper a few weeks ago. Left a stable and good position at my old company thinking I was making a right move for me and my family. I’ve not been here long but this place is such a catastrophe. It’s clear the company is listless. The people are backstabbing everyone. Nothing is getting done. And I’ve only been here a short while. I made such a mistake. If you are thinking of joining here my advise is take a deep breath and seriously think about it.

Mistakes can happen.

Economy is strong so apply and get out of Dodge as soon as it is feasible.

The place is toxic, stay clear. Annual, sometimes bi-annual layoffs. No plan, no leadership and Finance k--l every reasonable plan. They are clueless

Everyone makes mistakes. You will bounce back.

Look at Rami, all he does is make mistakes and he bounces back to make bigger mistakes. If Rami didn't make mistakes, he wouldn't be doing anything all.

I hope you find a better job soon OP.

Juniper is not a pleasant place to work, and if your co-worker sent you to the layoff dot com that speaks volumes.

Look quick and get out of there as soon as you can. Consider this a learning experience. All the best to you.

good thing is that you jumped the ship recently and the management might protect you compared to the others in the team. Just keep actively looking, you will land up in a better place.

Unfortunately Juniper is not a place to work and grow your career (genuinely). I was in a team where nobody worked, every week the update was the same. Our team shrunk from 14 -> 3, thats how bad it was. I survived multiple layoffs, thanks to amazing people who protected me. But I saw no future especially early in my career. Only thing which I saw was politics.

Right after I moved out, I fell into a workplace where people criticize a lot for the work culture, but trust me work is amazing. The time I am spending here like learning every single day and growing in my career.

Don't worry, here you can just aslk to become a

director, VP, or DE with right contacts, obtain >fraudulent EB1 G.Cs or awards of all types. Get the >best bonuses or RSUs you could get anywhere. >You just need to know who to suk upto.

I beg to differ. At juniper you don't "just ask" to become any of these things. You have to "just áss-kiss" to be any one of these things.

Sorry OP...bad situation for you. As a hiring mgr, I would not take you back unless you were a 1%r...since you left once, chances are you will be looking again soon. Both times I've convinced an employee to stay, they've left again within six months. Won't do that again. So I would advice you to look for new job, don't look in rear view mirror at company you just left.

A mistake can be made right again.

Why don't you start applying for jobs elsewhere ASAP?

You can also see if your old place will take you back since you seem to like it?

That's what happens when morale is rotted way from the weekly layoffs.

Nobody wants to lift a finger to do even their job. If a person was doing "work" 30% of the time (facepalm), now that person is doing work 10% of the time. This leads to backstabs, excuse making, lip service while they wait for musical chairs to start up again to end with one less chair. Many are still deluded and death fight anyone to stay on the leaking boat, while the wise ones assess and say "Screw this, I'm leaving this Clown Show".

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that an ability to execute and compete properly is extinctified--literally like a patient on the death bed wading through time until flat line.

It all catches up eventually. Not if, but when. Time in Silicon Valley is exponential and is ruthless.
