Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

Big Week this week!!

I am happy to hear we continue to make progress against the proceedings.

Please be cautious if your speaking to customers or partners. Even though we expect to emerge very quickly there are still elements outside of our control that could impact timing a day or so.

Thanks to those of you that supported. I am looking forward to our emergence from this proceeding.

Most importantly I am optimistic to how the market and new owners will react.

Looking forward,

One Positive Guy

He does it because he's a mo--n. Only a mo--n would deliver a pep-talk/townhall-type schtick on a layoff site. A layoff site! Everybody here has either been laid-off, or has left on their own, or thinking of splitting because the company is collapsing. So only a profound mo--n would deliver such a tired schtick to this audience.

The other explanation: he's your garden-variety manic depressive, most likely an SGAS manager, trolling this site because it's the only place where he could feel (at least in his mind) a tad more precious in the world. It does make for a good laugh to see how a deranged Sungard manager is having a meltdown right before us.

I'm going with OPG being one of the HR schmoobs monitoring this board and glassdoor, etc, looking for a hint of current employees not drinking the kool-aid so they can fire them. KW?

Will never regret leaving.

OPG isn't anybody from the LT. We all know the LT can't do anything at all without a consultant. OPG is probably whatever PR flack the LT hired to spin the Chapter 11.

For the life of me I can’t understand why you are posting comments on this site telling employees what to do or how to behave. Without providing who you are and what your role in the organization is, your credibility is seriously lacking. If you are someone in management or even with the LT, this is not the behavior of a professional at that level. Smh.

You might hear that chapter 11 was settled as expected. Reading these posts, it sounds like people think there's going to be some huge event or announcement immediately following ch 11 settlement - not likely.

Bro, you are not in the dark. Use logic and reason. Either things are going to work out and the company's going to be turned around or it's not and we're all going to be fired. If you can't handle the pressure find another job. If you can stick it out, work hard, roll up your sleeves and just deal with the fact that the senior management team and the new owners are not going to tell you every single thing that's going on so there's going to be a little bit of risk involved in this for you and everybody else but you can eliminate that risk and the uneasy feeling that you and the rest of us have by finding another job, pretty simple actually

So, again employees will be in dark? That's not right. At this stage of the Org, employees should be updated on a regular basis, agree?

This week will come and go like any other. Don't expect to hear anything new. In a few weeks you might hear some organizational announcements but I suspect that's about it. I wouldn't sit around waiting with bated breath for some big news b/c you'll likely be disappointed.

Obviously Purely Gullible,

The market will pay no notice, SGAS is a dinosaur, the CEO admitted it, customer exodus to other more relevant tech and companies confirms it, and the new leadership charged with selling off what little assets are left will put the nail in the coffin. I admire your cheerleader tactics by stoking the posts one after another after the dialogue slows for your topic. If only you were so relevant at SGAS, you seem to be a weak player that has remained in the shadows until such time as you can do the one thing that allows you to contribute, act like you really care what happens on this post. You are merely enjoying the attention that you receive here because you have been a failure at SGAS.

OPG, I am very sure you are one of themwho got a VP position in SGAS without any skills. And you still trying to mislead the common employee so that you can still retain your job.

Your negativity is unprecedented!!! How is exceeding every target not a great target? Look at the numbers and compare them to previous Q’s.

Let me guess, your response is “they are lies” or “funny numbers”.

You see, the problem with SGAS is not it’s product or it’s operations. (Flawed as they may be... they are still have a place in the market) The problem with SGAS is the culture. People like you forget how to win and expect to loose. In fact you accept nothing but loosing and look for reasons to be negative.

I am positive about one thing... I am a winner and so are the people I choose to surround myself with. You are not one of them.
