And the anti union trolling continues.
That email was sent out from a fiber supervisor in Nassau County. Once our union heard about it, that the company was trying to change policy while we’re in the middle of a contract, the very next day that supervisor sent an email apologizing to all the techs & that it was an error. Guys there will always be people trying to spread false/misleading information. I only ask that before saying anything to please know what the facts are first, & if you don’t know what the facts are then please do not comment till you do. I wish I could send the email that supervisor sent where he apologized for sending the first one in error, but his name is on it & therfore I cannot. STAY STRONG & STAY UNITED!!! GO UNION!!!
So let me get this straight, you are complaining because you have to get to work on time and leave at the end of your shift not early and some how that is the union's fault?
Neither side is giving any thing, including a sh!t about us. They both have agendas that we are only an after thought in. Keep our hard earned money in our pockets. If the job runs out, move on. I think we’d all be happier some where else.
Troll alert. How about altice give a lil of what they took already. Show the good faith. Prepared to make that bet? And if not, why?
Never happen because it will hurt profits they need to show year after year an increase of profits and something for shareholders. Even if it means jobs keep playing the at will employee it would be easier for them and better for shareholders.
If the union guys are so confident we'll get a good deal how about they offer to cover the 2% for someone if we end up with a bad or useless deal?
Prepared to make that bet? And if not, why?
Hey Hilbur is Lord, you mean keep what you earn, minus %2?
Management got you guys right where they want you.
DIVIDE AND CONQUER
A way of keeping yourself in a position of power by making the people under you disagree with each other so that they are unable to join together and remove you from your position.
Please troll name good things they have done since taking over for their employees. I can make a list that will fill this forum of negative things they did for employees.
@Y8xMhho-joi Been pulling a route
Young’n all good earn your keep and keep what you earn don’t let this mgmt clown play you.
Yes and
Wow it must be nice to show up late at jobs. Union or not someone is sweating and trolling hard so they won't lose their anti union job if unions get voted in on the 19th.
Sounds to me that this topic was timed to persuade Wappingers to vote no. Arrive to work on time and leave on time. What’s the problem?
Come work in the 76. We have management looking over us all morning.I wouldn't exactly say "management" It's a micro manager on 2 days of the week.
"Make sure your here at 7:30." "You can't be at the depot more than 15 minutes".
The best one was when I heard someone was told that the 30 minutes your give to stock your van during the week as a DFH tech, was just an "estimate".
the idea that your complaining that now you have to be on time is ridiculous.
Yea showing to work on time is overrated , lead by example show late every day who cares it's only cable right?
sure don't vote in the union then you won't have a job then you can be late as much as you want
Hey, Hilbur is Lord, sounds like your a rep who’s just looking to keep the money rolling in to the union coffers. Why don’t you go out into the field and pull a route before you tell us how much better things will be making %2 less, and having a contract that is so heavily weighted on the side of the company it’s disgusting. Write ups for being late? When did that ever happen in a non union shop? Seems like the company is just enforcing the rules we voted yes for.
You should always be on time bunch of irresponsible children , I work at a union shop and it's all the same if anything it's better now
Brooklyn shop - union since 2012
Oakland shop - union since 2017
Lodi / Newark shop - union since 2018
Bethpage techs understand that it's better to have a CBA than to remain an AT-WILL employee.
stop fear mongering!
Surprise, contracts are double edged swords! I hope Wappingers is taking notice. Let’s sit back and watch how life is for the union shops for a year. Then vote, yes or no, we will be better informed.
It sounds like OP is saying that since they are now Union the company is going hardcore and looking to write guys up for being a minute late
And the union can't do squat because it's by the books.
You get what you ask for
Just a small fringe benefit that is now gone...
Its when your shift starts. Not everyone starts at 7. Just dont be late.
sorta confused too.....if your a 3:30 tech, why would you leave early? If you used to be a 4:00 tech, did you leave early? think your risking a write up then too. Hell, 7:00-3:30? That's alot better than my DFH shift of 8:00-4:30
Just out of curiosity do your shifts start at 7 and end at 330? If so then thats when you should be at work. The Union is not supposed to protect you from not being at the job during your working hours??
