The transformation is garbage. All the comments I have read in this post hold some merit. If you aren't a "Yes" man, don't agree with upper management, or care about your co-workers, then you are brushed aside. There is no room in the company anymore for those that use "common sense" or want to jump into something new. Employees are just going thru the motions and struggle day-to-day with lack of maintained equipment as they try to accomplish their work. If you don't like your managers, then just give it time for they will be moved quickly to make room for another who will be worse than the previous.

UNLESS - you are above 40 or G12 and don’t want to be a manager. At that point, you’re perceived as yesterdays news

..... it’s crazy to here... great place to grow?

You didn’t realise that the New Way of Working has restricted pretty much any career progression beyond G12? Merged product lines, ‘group’ positions have all done that.... there are now very very few G13+ positions to move into. Consider also that 30%+ of those will go to the girls (whether deserving or not) and it’s clear SLB is not somewhere for most young grads to have a career, like before.

Recruiting in good times is different to hiring for a dying industry that’s only going to get worse. That situation doesn’t hold much appeal for the better new grads.

To be honest even the training these days leaves a lot to be desired. Most schools have been shortened and reduced to a very barebone introduction to the job. And it seems the targeted universities for new hires are not as good as they used to be. Not sure if this is part of the plan or if they actually have difficulties recruiting in the higher tier these days.

Have you ever worked for any other company than SLB, if not this may explain your distorted and totally untrue representation of SLB today. This company lost it's way many years ago and continues to decline, only a major rethink of how it treats and values it's employees can save it now.
