Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Management doesn't care

Is there anybody here who actually feels like this management values us as employees? They simply don't care. They keep piling work on us and expect us to do it for same pay. And as long as you show that you can do it, even if that means seeing your family just in passing, they're going to pile up more.

And through all of that, some of the managers will make sure to take credit for your work whenever an opportunity presents itself. I'm hoping I get laid off just to get out of this mess.

From 1960 to 1990's ever high school and college grad dreamed of working for State Street .

To get a job there might you were set for life and had the chance to climb up the ladder.

You were the envy of everyone when they found out you worked there.

The senior mgmt treated the workers with respect and everyone felt that they were valued by the

company.

But then sadly the good senior mangers started to leave the company to retire .

Then came the profit seeking bean counters who believed the way to increase profits, was to layoff thousands of workers.

Depts so their work force cut by 40%, jobs were sent outside the U.S.

But to really add pain and cause a feeling of dread among U.S workers, was the importing of workers from India.

The people who would now spend 3+++ years working at the desks of your former coworkers

@XiQqwTW Former employee of State Street who agrees with you and understand how you feel. When I was hired by State Street I believed I was very fortunate to be hired by such a prestigious company and always enjoyed work for them. Of course I still have many former and current employee's of State Street in my Linkedin network and I am well aware of the many changes that have taken place and especially the treatment by management. I have no idea of who old you are but my advice to you is to update your resume and prioritize looking for a new position.

Listen to me closely, buttercup....

You are a slave. You live in a socialist society run by elite globalists who give not one f#ck about you or what you want or how you feel.

Look around, society in USSA is collapsing.

I totally agree ... more snakes in the grass making its presence known. At this point I'm hoping to get the boot as well.
