Remember that Microsoft asks $300 for a freaking Windos OS that is free/pittance in Linux. We ask Apple to pay $10 per modem that involves patents, manufacturing, developing eco-systems and software, testing etc and that is considered excessive? The mistake Q did was not to include all patents in the modem, and increase the price 10x. Also packaging the processor-in was a bad call. IoT chips went bonkers because of the same bundling attitude when customers where ready for the always-on ultra low power camera

OP, how did you do the math on that $1,000 iphone then $200 modem? I bet you can't make sense of your own statement. I guess WLAN guys can also demand $200 using your logic.
