It is disheartening to see some of the nastiness on this site. This whole situation is really sad. Both Argosy and The Art Institute have been around a long time and were once strong educational systems with good outcomes. I personally know many successful alumni who are working in the industries they had their hearts set on. I also personally know many staff and faculty who were dedicated, student focused, and proud of what they did because they knew they were making a difference in a positive way. Now everyone is in a tough spot. Students must either choose loan forgiveness and start over from scratch or transfer hoping the receiving school will accept most of their credits. Many schools are working diligently to come up with transfer exceptions or teach out programs to help these students who might be transferring in. Most of the staff and faculty at the campuses were there because they love education and helping people. The snakes are at the corporate level! They were not in the school working to help students everyday and personally connecting with students. Be fair in your assessment of people. Rally with support not hate. It's pretty tacky to do otherwise.

All you students and employees can take some relief in knowing that Special K and Latino Fake Lips, the Gov and Mt. Olympus, Rickey Nelson, Dr East, Mick McIthcen will all be fast asleep in their multi million dollar mansions tonight. They may even go to an Amway party with Betsy Ross. Good job all!! Reps from the department of education were at Argosy Los Angeles this morning answering questions for students. If Argosy meets dealings given by Dept of Ed and WASC, and WASC approves application, students from Argosy and Ai (Schools under Argosy and accredited by WASC) May be able to transfer credits to another WASC accreditated college.

Bout time. You weasels have been milking the system like welfare recipients. No sympathy for all the lives you screwed over and debt you put people into. Zero accountability by moths attracted to the light.
This is a very sad day for the students, employees and staff. Here's hoping that some of the folks that were impacted land in a place that they will be able to excel at and make this organization a distant memory. I would show some compassion to folks who are losing their jobs and their financial lives are going to be impacted until they are able to find new employment elsewhere.

You talk about hate? I don't know what is more hateful than to relentlessly recruit academically unqualified students under the self congratulatory guise of giving them a shot at scam education all the while systematically taking them through an expensive loan mill only to leave the vast majority with nothing but endless debt and a toilet paper diploma if they're lucky.
One more thing. Don't dare attempt to pawn this catastrophic failure on "the snakes at the corporate level." Their number was always a known quantity. You and your sickening cabal of window dressers are just as if not more responsible for creating one of the most toxic and malignant, and yes hateful, attacks on at least a generation of hopeful students. Unfortunately, you helped steal that hope and trust and that's by far the most hateful thing of all.
Great accurate post! I definitely agree that system wide in all the affected schools there are many wonderful dedicated faculty, staff, caring supportive Administrators and many students very happy with their classes and low faculty to student ratio where they can work closely with their faculty who know them well and care about their success. That is why I continue teaching here for almost 5 years and enjoy making a difference in the lives of my students and seeing them successfully complete their programs and graduate! I love when my students who graduated and successfully pass their certification exams come back to visit to thank me and keep in touch with their new career updates. That’s why I do what I do and continue to work here in spite of all the “fake” news articles out there that keep popping up. Yes our various schools and programs have gone through many changes recently. I hope we can continue doing what we do in spite of so much adverse, often incorrect news.
