Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

compensation plan

after what can only be described as an internal revolt the comp plan has been adjusted

still not as good as in the past but should be workable

question in my mind is why you would EVER want to mess with the folks that bring in the revenue - just blows my mind

MJ should tell the whole package in SKO. The reduction of package to some people should be told upfront. Not a decent act. I am afraid he won't be trusted.

@XKTzB4u-nhx, there is no reason for name calling.

You are missing the point. We are in this predicament because seasoned sales teams have been dismantled because the leadership wants to make more money with altered commission plans. This happens with all sales organizations with greedy leadership teams.

When you hire young guns, they realize they can make more money elsewhere and jump ship. If you have worked in sales in this industry for over 5years you will know this.

There is no doubt you have to train the sales teams - AMs and SEs.

@XKTzB4u-fyr Typical Juniper mo--n. What if you did NOT train them and they stayed? Would that be any better having a bunch of newbies sit around with their thumb up their a$$ because they do not know their jobs?!

Greed!

That is the only reason why. The leadership thinks they can pull in the same revenue with new sales teams just out of college. Absolute nonsense. These decisions seem to be made on baseless assumptions, and the sales and marketing leadership have no clue on what's going on in the field.

The real problem arises when you get a bunch on college hires in, train them, and then they leave for ariata and Cisco. It's only a matter of time.
