Since this is the only place we can actually get answers, can anyone answer the following:
-Is there an associate discount with the new company? If so, Is it any different than the past?
-is the SHC discount still in effect for retiree’s? Is it syw points or does the discount come off at the point of sale, as in the past for retiree’s
I bought some stuff at a closing store and got my discount. And now that I’m laid off, I get the cash discount at the point of sale too.

Just because something is common doesn’t make it a given. If you don’t like the perks and benefits, move on. I swear people in this country have turned into self-entitled winners. Get a grip.

The only discount you need is about 5min to comparison shop between Sears and Amazon. Even on Sears biggest sales days Amazon undercuts their pricing by more than any associate discount could touch.
Why does everyone always feel they are entitled to a f---ing discount. Good god. Yes thank you for singing up to work at this sh-- hole here is a discount. Yes thank you for your one year of voluntary military service (which again you signed up for) here is a lifetime of discounts. When does the check writing ever stop

If Eddie would bring back the true employee discount off the price at point of sale, he would see his sales go up to the extent that the increase in sales would would more than makeup for the discount. The SYW thing as an employee discount is company servitude and an insult.
