Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Whatever happens, Eddie will do just fine

In case somebody was worried. (Yes, that's sarcasm, in case somebody was wondering.)

"Eddie Lampert’s ESL Partners is very quietly enjoying a blockbuster year. Institutional Investor estimates the fund is conservatively up more than 60 percent year-to-date before fees."

@1wnk if you're not totally full of it, don't be coy about this, there's a lot of legal counsel keeping tabs here. If you're aware of such goings on, give us entities, dates, transactions. We'll have the SEC on this faster than flies on sh--. If you work for Sears, ESL, or Eddie and are an accounting, financial, or legal professional, you actually have a duty to report such shenanigans.

If ESL is really shorting Sears we can report it to the SEC and genuinely land Eddie in prison. That's black letter straight up conflict of interest against the law.

Look at the financial transactions on the short selling that were way more than the average trading day. Find out who was making those trades and back track to who owns those companies or who knows who in those companies. Then you will see the light.

Don't forget that Sears Canada also got the green light to pursue a $550 million lawsuit against ESL recently. 2019 is going to be an interesting year for ESL.

It's actually illegal for execs and board members to short a stock. Conflict of interest.

I'm not so sure that he did. I think he thought too highly of himself, he kept stubbornly thinking he could pull the company out of its nosedive, all the way until it actually hit the ground.
