Management at juniper has hit a new low. The quality of peolpe getting promoted to Managers, Directors, Senior Directors, VPs etc is just shocking. In general, they are downright unqualified, incompetent and unprofessional.
Why is it so hard to set the bar high and promote good people? Corruption. Favoritism. Connections. I witnesed, a string of lousy business decisions made by an arrogant first time director/ people manager in marketing. The results of his promotion were horrendous. They have and will lead to many lost jobs. However the CMO, MM, and VP turned a blind eye. Maybe MM was scared of this guy's buddy, JD, but the goings on were just wrong. Similar scenarios are the norm all over... In every BU. MM has openly said he cannot attribute the sales funnel to specific marketing channels. Why do we even keep this guy around?
@Wv9hRlt-dqyg: leadership has never been about being a diuretic.
@Wv9hRlt-dchr: True, sadly respect for coworkers has long left Juniper. Arrogance has been the norm for a while now.
"Ask not what your company can do for you,
- ask what you can do for your company"
It's not about WHAT he can do, it's about HOW he does it. No matter what his plans are (good or bad), the employees working in Juniper should be treated with respect. Respect is in the DNA of Juniper, at least... that's what it used to be.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what MJ can do. The people pissing their pants about him on this thread must mean he’s been doing something right.
MJ is a ruthless d--k. Management by Fear. Is that the leadership style that fits the Juniper values of integrity and respect?
So what's the net outcome of the GTM changes? I didn't get think they have announced all the changes yet.
AC has not met his number for last two years. He should have been let go before VM totally.
RR will pay the price for his bad business decisions. It’s a matter of time before he is replaced, or Juniper is acquired and broken up.
He sux actually
I echo what someone posted about AC. In all the years I’ve known him I can tell you he is respected by the customer, coworkers and friends. When he walks in to VZ headquarters he is greeted with respect and appreciation despite the challenges the customer experience with Juniper.
Most in this industry know what a root cause analysis. When you have an issue any issue you need to get to the root of the problem. In my opinion the CEO and board have failed to get the root of the problem. Instead they are betting the company on a strategy that is impacting moral and cause good talent to leave.
This is like the owner of a restaurant firing the waitress or waiter or both and replacing them with new staff because the chef is not making a decent meal. Instead of working with the chef to address the issue.
KIG
Wow that’s fishing. It’s really unimaginable that there are people in this forum who don’t work for Juniper (anymore). This is for gossip and rants. And general entertainment. Employees only.
I heard MJ landed in some job in Juniper...anyone have the details?
Any updates?
Any org-changes so far in APAC and EMEA?
Firing sales guys due to poor sales numbers is like f+cking bare back to promote birth control.
Why doesn't the board of directors force rami and his leadership gurus to fix the real problems... In product management, engineering, and marketing?
Focus on the real problems and don't get distracted by the bright lights.
I had the pleasure of working with AC on customer engagements and he was a great person to work with. Professional in his interactions and kind and understanding. I could tell the customers respected AC and wanted to stay engaged with Juniper because of their relationship with him. Sad to see him go. He did mention several times that Product Management did not support him or accommodate customer requests consistently. This was worrysome to him I am guessing may have caused the conflicts that eventually got him pushed out.
This just goes to show that Juniper is not a place to question authority or the status quo... Even as high as a VP. Companies that don't listen to customers have nowhere to go but down... In short, the writing is on the wall.
That’s too bad I liked AC. He’s what a sales guy is supposed to be. I like MJ too. Sounds like some of the lads in EMEA are terrified of him. Man up, boys. We’ve just had huge top leadership changes. It is their right to come in and make changes. I wish them the best. I just don’t think we can survive with the continued country club culture.
AC is Anthony Cioffi SVP Americas Sales Leader
Who is AC?
It has already started. AC sent out an email saying he will be gone 1 January 2019. It reads like either he was forced out, or read the writing on the wall.
