Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Bernie Sanders on Eddie

@berniesanders: The Sears bankruptcy is a prime example of what a rigged economy looks like. Vulture capitalists have hollowed out a company to line their own pockets. It’s time for an economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy.

Hate Bernie but will give him a thumbs up if he has Eddie sweating and answering questions about fiduciary duty and self dealing before a Senate committee.

To me Bernie and Eddie are the same kinds of folk. Taking money from hard working folks and siphoning it to the parasites who have done nothing to deserve it.

@yon Not that trite nonsense again. Bernie is obviously well-off, but he is one of the least-wealthy in the Senate, and you don't have to be poor yourself to appreciate that most of the country is not wealthy. He has a small home in DC for when the Senate is in session, his family home in Vermont, and the much-blabbed-about-two-years ago 'third house' is a vacation home which his family bought by using the proceeds of selling the house his wife inherited from her recently departed parents.

Rep. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) questions witnesses at a congressional investigative panel of the financial collapse of Enron 12/21/2001. It ain't his first rodeo. . .!

Bernie won his campaign for Senate last I checked. He'll get to haul Eddie before the Senate if he wants, just like he has many others, and what a spectacle that will be.

Have fun testifying before the Senate why Sears' stock went down a billion and Seritage's stock rose $400M one day after the deal closed Eddie! Bernie looooooooves going to bat for pension and severance shortfalls!
