Lot of directors and sr.directors without any work, when they get layoff?? Should clean the house that can make talent to stay back...

Guys, you are focusing on the symptoms i.e middle management. The fact is top mgmt and BOD itself is dead wood so how can you expect them to solve a problem they themselves are part of ?

walk the corridors of WT after 4pm or before 9am. Closed office doors everywhere. Everyone 'in meetings' or WFH I guess.

All HR has to do is walk the halls of N Building at 4PM!?!? Pretty much doors closed, no one home. That is if HR is even there, then again they have a large amount of high paid 'consultants' in their org that are offsite. Amazing how they preach about a pyramid org structure but themselves are a reverse pyramid org.

You should report them. They have started taking notice and some directors are being let go. Think about it, the company is short on money and looking for lost change in the sofa. You'd be amazed what their compensation is. Times like these are the only opportunity you got.

This has been a issue for longest time and no action has been taken. This only means , cribbing about it in this forum will change nothing.Discuss this again and again will be meaning less.

Be the change you want to be, in other words change yourself and move on to other pastures. Specially if you are at certain level where you working at a technical level and/or hands on.

Change will happen if leaders with values are there? In Q this has become a lost commodity. Many VP openly state that if you are senior staff and above ditch technical. This makes Q a breeding ground of non-tech guys. Some of these folks one doubts if they have a valid elec or Comp sci back ground.

Steve M considers directors and above as the cruical people. Not the engineers. Most directors+ dont do any real work and that is a known fact but in the view of the CEO ahn-ahn. Layoff start only below directors as expected. The company has no priorities, hire and promote wrong people, and get tased by Govt and big companies.

They are not without work !! All those directors are busy meeting other directors and communicating essential information. When there is no strategy you need to meet daily to figure out something to do.

So directors meet with directors; who then move onto the next meeting to meet with more directors to tell those directors what the prior meeting directors discussed...........adding their own particular twist and flair. Of course they will pull in some key senior staff/staff to "add their perspective". Lots of discussion and more consulting. All needs to be done !! Urgently !! Then the monthly reports of reports of meetings.
