Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

Happy 2019 or not...

I’m happy with my with my offer, but something doesn’t feel right. Hmm maybe it’s just that Broadcom leaves this odd taste in my mouth. Maybe the RSU just feels like a bribe or they want us to not pay attention to something.

I think I’m going to leave anyone else feeling the same?

CA 40 years ago didn’t have useless fat. I’d say even 20 years ago it was minimal, with the exception of things under Nancy. Back then CA had one of the best revenue per employee numbers in the industry. You had one of 2 roles in the company - sales, or supporting sales.

After Sanjay got booted out the new CEOs brought in their own people, tried to change things, focused on “touchy-feely” stuff and LGBTQ diversity rather than driving profits.

Broadcom has just returned the carcass of CA to its historic roots.

@@WWjmxVM-chl Broadcom did not let go 45/50% of workforce. they cut useless fat that CA accumulated for 40 years.

I'm happy. Screw touchy feely stuff. I do this for the money and Broadcom has lots of it for people who are worth it.

If a company is willing to let go 45/50% of their workforce - maybe more than that, what expectation do you have, c'mon... let's be realistic.

Get used to it buddy. Broadcom is all about business, no touchy feely stuff. If you come to work conquer the world, and get a higher social experience, you ain't the match for Broadcom
