Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

From October - about Ai Seattle

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/education/art-institute-of-seattle-lays-off-all-but-3-full-time-teachers-amid-fears-for-schools-future/

How does a college operate with only 3 FTF - sure adjuncts can teach the courses - but who is contributing to program quality?

So sad :(

AI Seattle was an original art school and has a long history in Seattle. There have been some good programs and graduates have done well. The Media and Game art program is their biggest money maker and there are no jobs for those grads. That program should have been eliminated years ago. I am sorry for the staff that are still there, but the school needs to close before they put any more students further in debt.

@WBm204A-vpg Lot of retail careers? Have you talked to graduates from any State University system lately?

Can the students hold the accreditors responsible for sponsoring a fictitious college?

Yet Ai Atlanta still remains accredited by SACS http://www.sacscoc.org/searchResults.asp and CIDA https://accredit-id.org/accredited-programs/

Why aren’t these being pulled?

Atlanta laid off 20+ ftf in September. Very hush hush. Only 5 ftf remain at what was once one of the largest campuses. Big staff cuts the month before. Can’t imagine they’ll be paying the prez much longer with enrollment dipping under 800.

Implying that the program had quality in the first place. Have you seen the surveys of student outcomes? A lot of debt and retail careers.
