@ixme do you have any actual knowledge of this or are you just repeating rumors? First it was August, then late september, mid october, late october and now december? Can't say I'm not skeptical, it seems like everyones just aimlessly picking dates

You just need to roll with what is coming. Everyone has seen what is happening here. Lets all grown up. For those of you who are still at DST, Shame on you. They are going to do a huge layoff in December during the Holiday season. Why wait for them to let you go. unemployment is a joke, start putting your resume's out. other companies pay so much better. Why worry about DST, they aren't worried about you. By April 2019, None of you will be there!!!!!

Are you just pulling a date from the calendar? Another thread says it’s today.

Spoken like someone defending someone. Must be another c - level employee. They tend to "stick" together. And leave the rest of us in the trenches to deal with their bad directions.

I don't see anyone defending her. She and any other CIO/CEO level executive simply made good money working short stints at major corporations. No crime in making as much money as you possibly can. I mean that's the goal of working. Some people seriously think the world owes them something. The world and DST owes you nothing. I admire people who can do what she did. She should retire and enjoy her earnings. You never know how long you have to live.

She earned her reward by running the IT Transformation scam for Hooly, rather brilliantly in fact. Maybe she believed it would actually happen, and SS&C would follow through with it. IT Transformation was part of the neat little bow tied package Stone bought. Instead Stone is just going to get a skeleton crew of burn outs and angry customers.

Ta da! How do ya like them apples Stone?

And I'll bet of those 233 people, the jobs could be for just 23 people and still get all the work done.

Fact is, DST has a lot of people getting paid to do next to nothing. This is a fact. You have people doing a lot of nothing and milking small tasks into more than it is. Lay them off and get back to only hiring people you need.

They earn a lot of money and get huge severance packages because their jobs are few and far between. It's all part of the cost of doing business. Don't like it? Then work and educate yourself more so you, too can be an executive making big bucks. Or you can be a whiny little b--ch.

simple.

Giving is not the way ssnc thinks. Its actually the opposite. To make up the 14 million 233 people will be laid off by the end of the month.

If you desire CEO money, then work your way to become a CEO, CIO, COO, etc.

Or stay bitter and post about the unfairness. I have no problem with her receiving a huge 14m severance. She earned it. Good for her and anyone else that is smart enough to make that much money. It's called writing your own ticket.

Um 14.1 million thats why. And to the person who commented about her putting her soul into it most of us do everyday. And still get paid didly squat in comparison to what she was getting for her severance. Are we fortunate to have a job? yes. Given some of the job market environments and saturation. But to give someone 14 million is a joke..why not boost moral and give the rest left a 30k bonus in place of that. ..no?maybe? Sarcasm i know...but just a thought...

Wow, according to her bio, she worked at JP Morgan. Why did she ever leave such a great company?

She was CIO for just over a year at DST.

Don't be bitter. The higher ups sell their souls for these jobs. It's only money.

To those of you still working at DST, hang in there, it's just a job. No matter where you go, you'll have some worries. That's just the way life is. Look for new work, but don't despair about potentially being laid off. If you do get laid off, you will find something else. If you stay at DST, be grateful that you have a job.

Stay positive.
