Numbers, names and status have been decided. If you want to test relationship with your manager go, ask him and wait for his reaction.

If you are a senior person in Germany, France and Italy you will do well when you cash out. In the UK, Czech Republic, and other countries somewhat less positive but better than the US.
Anyone who believes they are safe because they are in the UK or EU will probably get a surprise in a month's time.
I can confirm this. I am in Finance in EU (not in management) and I was told already – as expected my position will be no more needed (most likely will be outsourced). Nothing officially yet. So I still have few months ahead of me, I hope they will send me to gardening leave. Fingers crossed ;)
2 months notice in the czech rep and 1-3 months salary depending on how long you were here.
read this id--t, oh you probably only know one language, too bad, i suggest you dont spread rumers about countries that you dont speak the language of. https://www.umsetzungsberatung.de/arbeitsrecht/betriebsuebergang.php
@VserXAE-tys dumbfuck! no millenial here! Stop spreading rumors you habe no clue of and go back to wearing your "make america great again" hat while loosing your job with no protection by the country you live in.
@VserXAE-tys Socialism, just lol. You poor, delusional millenial.
Well I am pretty sure my manager doesn’t know anything, any info he has got from his director which is very little he has passed on to us. I have know my manager for years and I pretty sure he would tell us if he knew anything from experience with layoffs in the past. Maybe that’s means they get getting rid of all of us including him ! I don’t expect to really be told anything concrete until after the close. It’s annoying as I until I know if we are going straight away or on transition it makes it hard know if we need to start looking for new jobs or not yet...
so much bs here, europe has completely different laws! In most cases employment after aqusition has to be continued for 12 months. This is called socialism, you know the thingi bernie wanted to bring to the usa.
Wow. The user "@VserXAE-iug" probably must be a Republican Trump supporter. What a dumbazz!
European laws are incredibly different to the US laws, with huge complexity and variations between countries. For example, France requires approval from works council for everything, even change of job title, which means any actions could be delayed by years, especially as you can't get rid of more than a certain number at once. People on here love to talk as if they know everything and they just don't
@VserXAE-pxm No, they are exactly the same. Europe is basically just an extension of the US.
Are European laws different than the US?
Do keep us posted .. ty
Dully noted. Let's see what happens once I drop that question.
