Anyone Heard Anything About ERC Outsourcing

The rumor has been going around that ERC is next to go overseas. There's even talk about some hush hush cross training that's currently going on. What's the truth in this?

That irritates the hell out of me. I spend weeks completely automating my job in BTAC and instead of implementing anything, the company decides to outsource instead. What the duck?

I had even been performing JavaScript injection on aquarium to submit correct information to carp for bad records to make carp actually work. It amazes me that they just outsource instead of automate. It’s insulting.

Thank you for the information and honesty. I knew something shady was going on when those "trainers" were gone for so long and nobody was allowed to speak about it and I'm not even in that dept.

Word gets around quickly. Like how sh-tty this company's culture has really become. Best of luck Repair. Take this advice and walk out now before they have the opportunity to use you up completely.

I've heard the same rumors. Apparently all of SMB and ERC (except for the Elite NOC) will be getting outsourced. Transport is getting outsourced to Mexico and Voice to India. I haven't heard about where ERC and SMB Data will be outsourced. I believe ERA is getting outsourced to the Dominican Republic. I've heard that management quietly offered training positions to a few people in ERC to sign NDAs, go overseas, and train their replacements. Obviously, this backfired and some of the techs who were offered this role told other people in the ERC about it before giving their two weeks' notice.

Repair is a trial by fire in many ways. My advice to anyone still in Repair is to learn as much as possible and use that knowledge to transition to something different, whether inside or outside of Windstream. Otherwise you will increasingly been asked to do more than less. Modern corporate culture in America makes just about anyone below the top executives expendable, but this is especially true in Repair. If you're already an asset to Repair then get out now. You've got to look out for yourself.

If they think hiring people over seas will keep the queues is good order more power to them. Let them try and figure out the the junk devices and poor records.

I didn’t know that. TT is in Charlotte. I am not in care, but I overheard from a loud conversation that there is a meeting scheduled for 10/01 about them dissolving care in Charlotte. You will have lots of people out of work including the supervisors. This is getting out of hand

Great idea! Should run off even more customers to the competition.
