I've been given a rather generous offer to return which has left me pondering whether to accept it. Under Meg Whitman's leadership, HP/HPE was a company that was repeatedly reorganizing, spinning off, and laying off. I could not see a future with such a company so I and others in my old team voluntarily left to new jobs during her reign of destruction. My colleagues who stayed were eventually let go, but they did immediately find new jobs afterwards. No real harm done during that time as the job market was in great shape. Now that Meg is gone, I'm wondering if the atmosphere has improved under Antonio. The current job outlook has many tech companies aggressively hiring talent and I'm wondering if HPE has reversed the trend of reorgs/spinoffs/layoffs, improved working conditions and started attracting new talent again. I understand I am asking this in a forum where laid off employees (or about to be laid off) tend to congregate. However, I'm hoping there might be some current employees here that can shed some light on working conditions at HPE today and whether things have improved since
meg resigned. What is it like working there today?
