You mean the Ap that is the ONLY way you can "engage"? They want us to engage with students but offer us virtual robots that are worthless to get healthcare? TOTAL BS AND A WASTE !

Sorry to hear you’re having to go through this BS @VTpwl6L-14kxp, “Crock of sh--” sums up DCEH and everything it’s attached to very well. Was wondering if anyone had tried using the healthjoy app yet. I was amazed at the information it requires to set it up. This is information the FBI and local authorities say never place online or give to anyone, but required on the app.

Seems like we’ll all need to find another source of insurance ASAP or forfeit $6-12k out of pocket.

This is a crock of sh--. My wife had major reconstructive surgery last year and now needs a medication for life. No pharmacy within 50 miles will accept this garbage. The Mayo Clinic Hospital will not accept her, her endocrinologist will not accept it. Everything must be done via a damn app....wtf???? They say just pay up front, we will TRY to get you reimbursed.... GTFO with that horseshit.

Would it be any surprise if BR is one of the “investors” of Healthjoy. Healthjoy is a startup... started in 2017.

Not sure if scam is the right word, however it is definitly not in your interest.

They are giving you a bonus to rope your primary providers into the program. You don't get all the money unless you can get them to participate. I have no doubt they are getting something in return to help them bolster their rosters. Just screaming non-profit christian organization yet again.

Now you are forwarding all your bills (healthcare information) to a 3rd party servicer and trusting them with the information which will no doubt transparantly flow to executives as well. Not that they care, but do you trust these guys with information considering the bafoonery you are dealing with now?

HSA's are nothing more then bank accounts that you are restricted from outside of medical expenses that gives bankers another pool of money/assets to gamble with. Your better off just finding a good credit union with good interest and pocket the interest. Did they tell you about investing it...yeah, go ahead and see how that works out for you...just wall street funny money. As a former banker, I have no doubt they are getting some skim off the top (probably referred to as a discount) for each account opened from the bank as well....EVERYTHING dealing with banks has grease...everything!

Let's put all our information on some sh-- Android/iPhone App...because those have been proven to be super duper safe with your data. Totally makes sense why this is such a hot product in silicon valley, they are all putting people on these innovative plans...right? Ohh, and if you don't want to sacrifice you privacy/trust...you get the non-engaged 2x cost....praise jesus these guys are just making life so much better for you.

Does this make you feel better? Probably not, let's stress employees out with $3,000/$6,0000/$12,0000 out of pockets (go ahead and just minus that from your salary) and put all the administrative issues on them as well then hope some company we have never heard of does their job...then...trust them to pay your bills after you hit your max.. sounds more like screw you guys...we get our insurance from one of our other companies anyways so wtf do we care.. This is so much cooler then just putting your damn card on the counter and paying $25 bucks isnt it?!!!! Yay!

No, not all health insurance is expensive...and if it is SO WHAT..thats why its supposedly called a BENEFIT to the employee. Sorry guys, we gotta pay those investors back first. Trust your gut people.

Of course it is a scam. I wouldn’t pay a dime into any system touted by DCEH. Look what they’ve done to employees already (students too, but that is another sordid story). Register at healthcare.gov. You may even obtain tax breaks or subsidies for as 1nlp says, most DCEH fulltimers will likely be unemployed at some point in 2019.

Ok firstly adjuncts don't get health insurance.

Secondly..since when can u trust anything DCEH offers especially when they fluff it as something good. Wake up people.

This is a simple way of getting full time faculty and lower admins ..that are left.. to quit. Then DCEH doesn't have to be held accountable with any accreditation board. They can replace all at a much lower salary.

All health insurance is expensive. Most policies today are catastrophic policies with high premiums and ridiculous deductables. Even most people who work in health care have these c-appy policies. What makes Obama Care unique, as flawed as it is, is that it forces the insurance companies to quit cherry picking the healthy patients and SPREAD the cost of insurance over a broad base of healthy people and people with preexisting conditions the way most other kinds of insurance do.

The BAS/HealthJoy thing is just a hyped-up digitalized version of what has always been called case management. It's no big deal. HealthJoy is really a referral service and broker to providers you do not know, so what. All health insurance plans use case management and other contractual mechanisms with providers and hospitals to help keep down costs and help ensure appropriate care. But still it's an inflationary mess.

Trust me, if DCEH didn't have to offer health insurance to attract adjuncts and other free range slaves they wouldn't. No love lost there.

Like education, healthcare has not been revolutionized by the self correcting, infallible free market. But try not being called that bad word socialist if you even come close to suggesting that healthcare is a right and not a privilege.

BTW the name HealthJoy sort of gives me the marketing inspired creeps.

Been researching BAS and HealthJoy since the first email went out about it, have yet to find a list of “engaged” providers.

Seems like they could provide some proof medical professionals are willing to work with them ( become engaged) before forcing the plan on employees. From the meeting it seems HealthJoy is new, employees have to submit providers they want to use to HealthJoy do they can “sell” the service and engage providers. I think we’ll all be $6000 out of pocket for non engaged professionals instead of their proposed $3000.

Cheaper than ObamaCare policies, but we all might have to consider those as I doubt eligible employees (full time) will still be around jJanuary 1.

"Benefit Administration Systems." Healthjoy/BAS is a win-win for Brent as he is most likely invested in both being a venture capitalist. But it's the same old hocus pocus.

The beauty part is that it's all paid for by the taxpayers with profits going to family numero uno.

Go into the marketplace and buy a policy and keep it until you can find another job.

It's true but sad that several friends who only need individual coverage walked out of that meeting asking how the cost is mere dollars per pay for HD plan PLUS they are paying us $500 to select it. We wanted to be excited but have become accustomed to question the hidden agenda... is just paranoia at this point, right?

Just writing the same thing.

Anyone feeling the 2019 self-funded “insurance” through BAS and HealthJoy concierge service is just another scam on employees by DCF and DCEH? Or am I just being paranoid?
