Update for the Art Institute of Las Vegas: 10.12.2018

As of 2 PM today, the Las Vegas dean and the president were terminated. There is now zero oversight until "sometime next week", when a person from the California Ai school will arrive on campus and take up the position for "Campus manager". Also, now all representatives are being told they need to "double down on student intakes". They are now being pushed for numbers, when those perversions of academic integrity we call our new "owners" told us that it would not be about numbers during our campus meeting. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

Update: Roger Hosn has been the worst since arriving as the campus shill, sorry, “president” in Las Vegas. He hardly comes out of his office and rarely if ever visits our department. He only seems to come into our area and talk to his brown nosing buddy in Financial Aid. Not going to name names but everyone knows who I am talking about. If Roger is so committed to keeping Las Vegas open then why is he only renting a place in the area and keeping his home in California? Big, big red flag there. Everyone in my department is looking for new jobs because the writing is on the wall. Roger is obviously here to close the campus and everyone here should not trust this weasel.

Morale is at an all-time low and the instructors that went to part-time are just biding their time until something better comes along. After all, they have mortgage and car payments just like everyone else. They all reluctantly decided to stay on for this reason. Just a matter of time before all the talent moves onto greener pastures and a more stable work environment.

Students especially should be concerned. They are recruited relentlessly to come to this school without the knowledge that there may not be a school to go to soon. We know inside we are lying to them and that’s difficult to deal with at times. But Roger would never allow this information to get out. He only cares about numbers on a page to show corporate he is a dedicated lackey and whether his 1980’s Miami Vice beard stubble has been properly manscaped.

Roger will accomplish his missions at the school. 1) He will ensure misinformation and lies are perpetuated to keep enrollment up. 2) He will cut classes at the expense of losing valuable instructors. 3) Students will be forced to go online because their classes will be canceled and therefore guaranteeing a sub-par education at the same overpriced rate. 4) His spray tan will begin to melt in the Vegas heat and stain his feminine colored shirts and then he will move onto the next school on the chopping block.

Boy does all this remind me of ECMC/Zenith Education take over of Everest and WyoTech. It's almost like the same people making the same decisions.

AiVB's Prez and Dean were let go this past week and replaced with a Campus Manager. The Prez was the only reason the school survived and did as well as it did. RIP Ai

Ughh thats terrible, Roger is such a sycophantic Fraude Clown lackey. He destroyed the LA. Campus and when it was closing was litteraly begging fraude in the halls for a second chance. It was quite the sight. Fraude owns him.

Most of the good folks at Hollywood left within months of him coming aboard. When new positions came up he brought all his friends as opposed to promoting anyone from the inside. Caused a lot of animosity.

He has no experience in academics at all, he is a sales guy to the core. He spear headed converting any class in Hollywood that had under 12 students to a direct study (2 hour isntead of 4 hour a week class). It saved money. He pushed out all of pur goid adjuncts by giving them to schedule options for thier classes. We litteraly lost a DreamWorks animator and a walt disney animation producer because Roger said we have 5% higher class enrollment during the day and wouldn't allow them to teach at night.

Sorry Vegas, you dont deseverve to deal with this guy :(

Let David Halperin know. And let your local newspapers know, either the education writers or the business writers. If you can, take pictures of what's happening.

Let them take a look at this for background.

They did this at my AI Campus. The flew in some manager for a few months, student enrollment never increased, and they campus is now closing. Didn’t Las Vegas also have filed for bankruptcy?

Ditto for Pittsburgh. Dean was terminated yesterday and President terminated couple months ago. To use the term “higher education” is wrong. This is nothing but a scheme of theft - of government and taxpayer money.

Dan was a born leader. He was the heart and soul of the campus. He, with Crystal, Todd, and Scott, were the reason I got up every morning and went to work. That and the students. The president, I'm not sure about. Never had much contact with him.

But they just destroyed whatever hopes they had to make it through this storm. Wretched jokes.
