3cwu- I read the entire post but, really, it makes so many unsupported absurd assertions about all faculty being long time and dedicated, earning 4 dollars an hour, working 7 days a week, etc that it is literally incredible as in “not credible”. The reality is the DCEH doesn’t belong in education, as shown by its actions, which speak louder than the words of some justifiably bitter students in life long debt or faculty and staff who’ve had their livelihood stolen by this allegedly Christian corporation. Judge not lest yet be judged.

“You WILL get a good education if you put in the time and the work.” Add to that “pay premium tuition and teach yourself.”

Ai AU SU aren’t about education they’re about selling dreams and degrees. Students who are lazy or just can’t get into legitimate colleges are easily manipulated into paying for a worthless “education” (by paying for I mean forfeiting their credit by taking out loans they’ll never be able to pay off).

Online students need to start sharing what they’ve heard about Ai with fellow students in the classroom and an email to classmates. Faculty are not going to risk their jobs telling students the truth students need to take this on themselves.

Wow, so much anger and such poor ability to read and comprehend what was written - @2jdq, your bitterness is apparent - I hope you can find peace somewhere.

@2vjg - I hope you’re not an instructor, you are an embarrassment. Not only to the faculty who truly care but to mankind in general. Perhaps you and @2jdq can find positive ways to channel your anger and hatred - neither of you belong in education in any way, shape or form.

If you really want to claim “it’s a public service to teach” dozens of real public service organizations need your help - go teach adult literacy etc. but quit lying to yourself that staying at DCEH is not all about the paycheck and know you are harming students every day you participate in this rapidly collapsing scam....

Cut the c-ap. Cut the self serving we love the students dodge.

Tell the students what's going on with this despicable mess and maybe be able to look at yourselves as the decent human beings you presently are not because you are the biggest part of perpetrating the scam.

Or else continue to be the cowering slime bag slugs that management depends on and knows you are.

Does DB sit around all day and think of ways to bog faculty down with busy work; isn’t there a better use of his time? How about focusing on streamlining brightspace, for one.

I’m still baffled by the requirement of embedding videos for every student once a week. Are the students so stupid they can’t click a link? How about adding a video when it’s needed, not for some confetti show in the classroom?

With three classes (60 students) it’s a huge task to record, go get the embed code from YouTube and then click 3 buttons in brightspace to embed the code. On top of that half of them don’t even look at the video.

How about considering the workload of the teachers and the general terrible atmosphere and NOT adding new levels of drudgery to their day. Let’s instead use that time to focus on quality feedback. More is only more!

Students at AiO have no idea any of this is going on. Online students were never told about the MSCHE warning or the just cause status. When asked at a Middle State faculty meeting if online students would be informed the interim president and dean said a letter would be going out to all students. No students I or colleagues have spoken with have received any such notification. If accreditation is pulled the degree many students have spent years and close to a hundred thousand dollars working towards is worthless. If accreditation is saved the education using the online pinnacle format is still worthless but at least the degree will have some value.

2jjg --- why doesn't dceh see this? I'm amazed at how much AiO has gotten away with - any savvy business person should be able to see right through it all....

ditto on the trainings - an excuse to write a dissertation exercise that made no sense ...what a mess that was...now pinnacle is the same - bogging down the already sinking ship.

db got the job because he's willing to be a puppet and look the other way -- same with mf - all puppets.

JC is insanely controlling and DB is an id--t. How he got the job he has is beyond everyone - he's a laughing stock and incapable of creating training that makes any sense. He rambles on about absolutely nothing for hours and hours, boring everyone to death. Every department within Ai and EDMC/DCEH is shocked at the incompetency - this ship will sink soon, very soon. If Middle States has any sense, they'll see the truth.

1prr if you are speaking about AiP - kiss that goodbye -- JC is very controlling and will for sure take over what is taught, how it is taught and the rubrics -- and most likely DB will be part of it and down the drain any academic freedom you once had --

We create our own syllabi and only required to meet competencies.

We tried very hard to keep this school that way.

Thank you to the person who posted this! It’s true that the faculty are badly abused. Most were s---ered in a long time ago where there were fewer required hours and it ran more like a real college. Before the put two sales people/advisors in charge.

Little by little they lost site of that model and turned it into a literal diploma mill where students don’t even have to finish the week’s work to pass the class.

If you have a teacher who has real experience appreciate them, they are most likely from the old model of real teaching and solid advice.
