Based on the Merchandise Sales for the quarter, of $2.428B, a 3% increase (if all of the sales were comp store only, which they are not, because they include closing stores) would at max contribute $70-71m for the quarter, and a gross margin of $10.89m (based on the 15.4% gross rate). That doesn't begin to stem the $500m loss for the quarter.
